XIOMI MI A1

The MI A1 is a best smartphone, it is a suitable product with any budget you want.

The Mi A1 provide many blasting specification to user with a many hardware integrated features which will capture the user mind and attention. Mi a1 is comes with a dual camera with 12mp + 12mp which will capture a photos with a great quality and we will get DSLR effect with blurred background.

Due to being a double camera during the day, how can Xiaomi stay behind? Mi A1 is the brand's first dual camera-towing smartphone in the subcontinent. Its price is Rs 14,999 in mid-tier. But if you look at other specs, it is not very different from Redmi Note 4 (review), especially in terms of SoC, RAM, and internal storage. Even competitors such as the Lenovo K8 Note (review) and the Moto G5s Plus (First Impressions) also provide similar hardware configurations with stock Android, which means that Xiaomi Mi A1 is not a smartphone with only 15k rupees, which is pure interface and better Promises the update cycle. Nevertheless, it stands out with its dual camera display and smooth use experience.

When you catch Xiaomi Mi A1, its premium metallic fill forgets about its look. While I find it a bit widespread that its companion, the smartphone looks light on 165g for its 5.5-inch display. With a metal frame of 7.3 mm, it is quite thin. A slight turn towards the back makes it comfortable to hold, though due to its breadth, it requires two hands for most of the operation.

With the display panel up front, you will get LED notification light, sensor, secondary camera and an earpiece above. At the bottom of the screen, there is an array of capacitive backlit navigation keys.

Placement of buttons and ports on Xiaomi Mi A1 follows the Convention, although it is interesting to note that there are both 3.5mm audio interfaces and type-c port charging (yes, Shiaomi also has the next-gen bi-directional port Available in the Budget segment) with the exact-grilled speaker grill are available below. Speakers are good, although they do not come out loud. Like your siblings, the phone has an IR blaster, so you can easily control the TV and home appliances.

Rear is the home of a pair of primary cameras, which turns out slightly from the body. Along with that, you will get a dual-tone LED flash, while the fingerprint sensor is placed slightly below. It mentions mainly the branding of Android One and Mi below. Talk about the biometric scanner, it is quite accurate and works in 360 degree orientation. However, it should be noted that if you open Mi A1 with deep sleep or unlock from the lock screen, it takes a little longer time.

With 1080p resolution, the 5.5-inch IPS display on Xiaomi Mi A1 gives a crisp view and accurate color. Thanks to the enough brightness levels, the screen can be read out comfortably. I enjoyed reading movies or reading e-books on the handset, although I love watching MIUI reading mode on the device.

You can also enjoy new features in Android nuggets, such as accessing all applications from the homescreen to a simple swipe, double-tap the overview button to reach the final app, or on the fingerprint reader to check the notification drawer Or swipe down. I also like activating Google Assistant with voice commands. You can only open the camera app by locking the power switch, using any app, lock position. However, quite often, the viewfinder displays noticeable delays while activating the camera and shows a white screen. The most useful of all the features for me is the inclusion of the ambient display, whenever a new notification arrives, the screen wakes up.

Interestingly, it seems that the stock Android season's taste. While earlier, only Google and Motorola had offered it, late, Nokia's and Lenovo's favorites also boarded the bandwagon. But Xiaomi gets a benefit on other manufacturers who brings it to the same level of the pixel series, and the fact is that software updates are handled directly by the vast company of Mountain View. In fact, during my review, I received some updates, which shows that you will not only get the upcoming iterations but will also get regular safety patches. The brand has promised 8.0 OREO updates before the end of the year and even when it is released Android p To be honest, many times I forget that I was using Xiaomi smartphone because MIUI has always been an integral part of the company's offerings.

Xiaomi Mi A1 is the first smartphone of the brand with dual rear cameras in India, both of which are rated as 12-megapixels. There is a 26mm f / 2.2 lens while the second 50mm f / 2.6 telephoto lens is. However, what is worth highlighting is that A1 is the only tool which is worth Rs. Comes under 15k, which offers optical zoom, which is only 30,000 rupees. Available from above phones, such as OnePlus 5 (review) and Apple iPhone 7 Plus (review)). While the Mi A1 runs Android, it uses Xiaomi's camera app, which is a lot less thankful. Below is a shutter button and gallery shortcut, and various filters, front camera toggles and shooting modes at the top. These include modes like Panorama, Manuel, Butify, Group Selfie, Square and many more. For image quality, you get detailed shots with good color reproduction in all situations. Landscape images have very sharpness and natural colors, and are also pleasing to the nearby eyes. The dynamic range is also effective, and when the phone does not have auto HDR mode, keeping the HDR gives you an improvement on the opposite level. Although you can get good box effect without using dedicated mode, enabling the latter will ensure that the subject is standing outside the background. I want to admit that many phones are not able to do well in depth-of-field, because not many times, the sides of the subject are soft, but it is not so with MI A1. With the secondary telephoto shooter, you can also get closer to the subject, and it works as expected. Take a deco in the pictures below that demonstrates the Bokeh capabilities of the handset.

But the cameras on Mi A1 are far from perfect. For starters, while it has PDAF, the focus jumps slightly before locking-in on the subject. In most cases the speed of the shutter is quite fast, but there is a considerable gap between the shutter button pressing and actual shot. Low-lighted images are also quite average because they have a lot of noise and it does not capture the colors properly, although the dual-tone LED flash comes in the rescue. Here is a gallery of sample samples taken from A1, which puts you at a glance at its capabilities.

Hardware: delivers fine-tuned performance

If it is still unclear by the specifications, Xiaomi Mi A1 is actually Mi 5X with Android One instead of MIUI. So the internals are the same, sometimes the grunts work with the trusted snapdragon 625. After reviewing so many devices powered by SD625, I had never had a display problem with a mid-level chipset, and it remains unchanged with A1. It manages to handle everything thrown easily. However, personally, I love to select new SoCs such as Snapdragon 630 or 660 for Xiaomi, which bring better performance and power efficiency with better camera capabilities.

Considering the needs of multitasking, there is a 4-GHz RAM, thanks to the UI, usually more than one GB. The hardware combination is powerful enough to handle gaming well, and I enjoyed racing at Asphalt 8: Battle in Injustice 2 during airborne or long sessions. Sadly, while the processor Mi A1 is more efficient than the thermometer in case, it does not seem like this. While it was a bit hot during gaming, it was quite hot after using Google Maps for navigation.

64 GB of storage is enough to store multimedia files onboard and install applications. And to increase the storage you can always slide into the MicroSD card upto 128GB. However, you have to go through the dual-SIM functionality because Xiaomi Mi A1 has a hybrid sim slot.

While many Mi-A1 specs are similar to Redmi Note 4, the capacity of the battery is different. In Note 4, Beef packs A1 in a standard 3,000mAh cell, unlike the 4,000mAh unit. While it does not provide a one-and-a-half day backup, but it will comfort you the company for the entire day. Considering my heavy use of GPS navigation for about two hours, listening to music through vocals, playing games for 30 minutes and using cellular data for a whole few minutes, charging the phone to the next Morning was not required. I usually got about four hours' screen. In the 91mobiles battery test, the device was able to play HD video for approximately 11 hours, in which the brightness and volume level of both were set to 50 percent. While A1 supports Qualcomm's quick charging technology, it comes in a bundle with a standard 2A charger that takes approximately one hour and 40 minutes to ruse the battery.

Verdict

When Xiaomi entered the Indian market three years ago with the Mi 3 flagship, then in my review I described it as "Blockbuster in every rights". Presently fast forward, and Chinese giants have already become the second largest smartphone brand in India, which dominate the country's online market in this process. However, what is interesting is that its budget redmi series has worked as a money spinner, and when it released the Mi3 heirs, they did not repeat the feat of ancestor. But the brand's latest, Mi A1 reminded me of a lot of Mi 3 because the two devices had a lot of rides on the shoulder ... and they were packed adequately to distribute.

After saying this, it is interesting that even with these USPs, Xiaomi Mi A1 can not be separated from the competition. As mentioned earlier, it is against Lenovo K8 Note and Moto G5s Plus, both offer similar specs. It is very difficult to choose a smartphone between the three, although if you ask me, then my choice will be Mi A1 for the simple fact that Android One buys it in the future and it comes in the form of a reliable artist. However, the phone has to face the challenge from its own family, Redmi Note 4, which comes with a similar spec sheet minus dual camera, but with a marathon battery backup - its price is Rs. 12,999.

My personal quibble of the brand is continuing using Snapdragon 625, Xiaomi Mi A1 is a complete package that ticks all the right boxes. With its good build quality, an impressive pair of camera and stock Android - you have to work hard to find a complaint with A1. I also believe that this is probably the best partnership for reviving Google's ambitious Android One project, which was launched in 2014 with a big bang, but then it was gone. In its second incarnation, it seems that the brand owned by the alphabet is intended to provide a pixel-like experience in price segments.

Only time will tell whether A1 changes destiny for Mi series in India or not. But if you want to always be the owner of Xiaomi smartphone with a clean software experience, Mi A1 is the right choice for you.
